Arbroath vs Dundee – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 32 – Season 2022/2023
Saturday 8th April 2023, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath welcome Gary Bowyer’s Dundee to Gayfield today for the biggest match in the cinch Scottish Championship with well over 5000 fans expected to be in attendance.
The stakes are huge for both teams. The visitors are looking to move to the top of the Championship after leaders Queen’s Park were defeated by Partick Thistle on Friday night, whilst Arbroath need 3 points to keep on moving up the table away from Hamilton Accies who host Cove Rangers.
Dundee come into the game high on confidence after defeating Hamilton Accies 7-0 last weekend whilst Gary Bowyer was named cinch Scottish Championship Manager of the Month for March.
Striker Cillian Sheridan is out for Dundee, whilst Zach Robinson may be a doubt after coming off early against Hamilton Accies. Zak Rudden who has scored in all 3 of the previous meetings this season joined St Johnstone on loan in January.
Arbroath will be without Colin Hamilton who looks set to miss the remainder of the season but after defeating Queen’s Park and Ayr United there is spirit in the Gayfield dressing room.
The three games have been close affairs with Dundee claiming a 4-2 win back in August, before the sides played out a 1-1 draw at Gayfield, before Arbroath claimed a huge win with a 4-2 win in January.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
