Arbroath vs Ayr United – Match Preview
cinch Scottish Championship – Game 10 – Season 2021/2022
Saturday 23rd October, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Arbroath welcome Ayr United to Gayfield today for our 10th match of the new cinch Championship season.
We give a warm welcome to Jim Duffy who was named new Ayr United Manager of 1st October replacing David Hopkin.
Ayr currently sit 4 points behind the Lichties in 6th place and their recent form is WWDLW.
Ayr have just made one addition to their team since our last meeting and that is the signing of Steven Bradley on loan from Hibernian, with Michael Miller and Paul Smith leaving the club on loan.
The Ayr United website – https://ayrunitedfc.co.uk/arbroath-match-preview-1 lists defenders Jordan Houston, Sean McGinty and Michael Hewitt joining midfielder Daire O’Connor missing out through injury. With Houston, McGinty and O’Connor all starting against the Lichties in August.
Arbroath Manager Dick Campbell will again have nearly a full squad to choose from apart from Nicky Low who still misses out after his ankle injury sustained against Kilmarnock.
Having suffered their first defeat in 8 matches last Saturday, it will be interesting to see if Manager Dick Campbell makes changes to his starting line-up.
It will be another extremely tough match but we hope you can get right behind the team from the very start.
C’mon the Lichties
