Match Day 28 – Ladbrokes League 1 – Season 2017 / 2018
Wednesday 14th March 2018, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 7.45pm kick off
Arbroath welcome Ian McCall’s Ayr United to Gayfield tonight as we play our rescheduled match from the 3rd of March when the game was postponed due to snow.
It is the 5th meeting of the two sides this season with both sides having secured 2 victories each. Tonight also marks the return of Manager Dick Campbell to the dug out having served his 5 match suspension.
For the visitors it is their first away game since the 27th of January and with Raith Rovers suffering defeat at Station Park last night, the Honest Men now have 2 games in hand on Raith and trail by only a point.
Arbroath will go into the match knowing they have already inflicted defeat twice in the league this season on the visitors, but also fully aware of the fire power that Ayr United have in their locker as they have scored an incredible 73 goals in the league this season
Michael McKenna is a doubt for the Lichties but Gavin Swankie will return to the team after missing out on Saturday.
We have 9 incredibly tough games left until the end of the season, but a large and vocal home support tonight would really help lift the team.
We hope to see you there!
