Arbroath vs Alloa Athletic – Match Preview
Ladbrokes Championship – Game 23 – Season 2020 / 2021
Saturday 3rd April 2021, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off
Match Sponsor – Arbroath FC Community Trust
The Lichties welcome Alloa Athletic to Gayfield tomorrow for their final meeting of the season and the 3rd last home game at Gayfield.
With only 5 games left this match is huge for both clubs as they try to keep their Championship place for next season.
Alloa Athletic have had the upper hand so far this season with a Stefan Scougall snatching all 3 points earlier in the season at Gayfield, whilst Arbroath looked to be heading for all 3 points at the Indodrill thanks to Jack Hamilton’s goal but an injury time equaliser from Innes Cameron secured a point for the hosts.
It will be another very tough match with Alloa Athletic always a well organised team full of experience all over the pitch.
Arbroath will be without Luke Donnelly, Gavin Swankie and Bobby Linn but Dick Campbell will be hoping Jason Thomson maybe fit for a return to the squad. Recent loan signings Calum Smith and Nicky Low will be hoping to make their home debuts.
We shall once again be streaming this match on Arbroath FC TV https://arbroathfc.tv/ free for all season ticket holders and £12 for all other supporters over 18.
We have missed our support this season which gives us a home advantage but we hope you will all be cheering us on from home.
C’mon the Lichties
