Betfred Cup – 2nd Round – Season 2020 / 2021

Saturday 28th November 2020, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

Arbroath return to action tomorrow as we welcome Dunfermline Athletic to Gayfield.

Championship League Leaders Dunfermline Athletic are the visitors and will be brimming in confidence having defeated league favourites Heart of Midlothian last Friday live on BBC Scotland.

The two sides met 3 times last season with each team claiming a win each with a goalless draw at Gayfield the last meeting shortly before lockdown.

The Dunfermline side has went through many changes since then with several high profile players making the move over the summer to East End Park making the Pars once of the most attacking sides in the Championship.

Arbroath will be without David Gold who serves a one-match suspension after picking up two yellow cards in the Group Stage. It is hoped Jason Thomson has recovered from his facial injury picked up last Saturday as Managed Dick Campbell promised to make changes after his side couldn’t find the net again against Greenock Morton last week.

It will be a huge test for the Lichties, but with the lure of getting into the final 8 of the Betfred Cup there is a huge incentive for everyone.

We hope you will get right behind the team from your living rooms!

C’mon the Lichties!
