ARBROATH VS DUNDEE UNITED
FRIDAY 15TH JULY, 2016
MEDIA RELEASE
In relation to the forthcoming Arbroath vs Dundee United fixture, Mr John Christison, Arbroath FC Chairman has made the following comments;
‘As Arbroath FC embark on another season, the Club is eagerly anticipating an exciting start to the football campaign by welcoming Dundee United FC to Gayfield on Friday evening in the first round of the Betfred Cup.
The game is being televised live on BT Sport and a large crowd is expected to attend which will hopefully create a great atmosphere for both Players and Supporters.
Supporters are reminded that under no circumstances should they enter onto the pitch. Additional Stewarding will be in place to prevent this, however I would make a sincere appeal to supporters to remain in your place on the Terracing and in the Stand and allow the game to proceed without interruption.
Likewise it is completely forbidden for any Supporter to bring any form of Pyrotechnic Device into Gayfield. These devices are extremely dangerous and there is no place for them at Football matches. Arbroath FC asks for supporter cooperation in not bringing these to the game – Arbroath FC is a family friendly Club and we want all Supporters to be able to enjoy the game without the fear of any such device being used.
All connected with Arbroath FC sincerely hope that all supporters coming along to Gayfield on Friday evening will enjoy a great game and a great start to the season, that a great atmosphere is created and that this all takes place in a safe and friendly environment.’
