Ladbrokes Championship – Game 12 – Season 2019 / 2020

Saturday 2nd November 2019, Gayfield Park, Arbroath, 3.00pm kick off

The Lichties return to Gayfield Park tomorrow after two tough games on the road as we welcome Peter Grant’s Alloa Athletic for our 12th Championship game of the season.

Alloa went down 3-0 to Dundee on Tuesday but come off the back of draws against Queen of the South and Inverness Caledonian Thistle and a win over Dundee United.

There has been 3 changes in the Alloa squad since we last played them with talented winger Andy Stirling moving to Stranraer and young goalkeeper Andrew Wilson joining Pershill on loan whilst Jamie MacDonald arrives on an emergency loan from Kilmarnock to deputise for the injured Neil Parry.

This morning Robert Wilson joined Musselburgh Athletic on loan until January whilst Gavin Swankie continues his return from his hernia operation and should be available for selection very soon.

Scott Stewart is likely to return for the Lichties after being rested on Tuesday night after playing two games in quick succession after being out for a few months.

It will be another extremely game for the Lichties, but we hope to have your support behind us from kick off.

Disabled Access;

Gayfield Park, home of Arbroath FC has two enclosed disabled seating areas on either side of the main stand which are reserved for wheelchair users and their assistants / carers. Each area can accommodate up to 3 wheelchairs and 3 assistants / carers.

These areas also have wall attached seats which fold down in place for any assistant or carer that is present on the day.

Each side is accessible via a smooth flat surface suitable for wheel chairs with a disabled toilet on the opposite side of the stand.

Our match day stewards are always on hand to give assistance either into the ground, or to the accessible areas.

Unfortunately due to Gayfield’s location we don’t own any parking spaces around the ground, but there is plenty of spaces on either side of the ground to park which is all completely free.

If the distance from the main gate to the accessible area is too far, then we are happy to accommodate a vehicle into the ground for a close drop off. In this circumstance we would please ask that you contact the club a day or two before hand and arrive a little earlier than normal.

We offer a concession admission for those with a disability and free admission to any assistant or carer present.

If you are coming from the direction of Dundee, there are many spaces on Queen’s Drive next to Pleasureland, of if you continue past Gayfield there is Inchcape Park which is your first right after Gayfield. It is next to the Sea which offers street and overspill onto the grass.
