Arbroath FC Football Memories Group met today at Gayfield Park. The group met in the 36-0 Lounge and enjoyed a couple of hours sharing memories and laughs through a quiz, football memory cards and footage of football games from days gone by.
A great time was had by all and everyone is looking forward to the next meeting of the group on 21st March 2018 between 10.30am and 12pm.
The meeting is for people in the local community with Dementia who have an interest in sport, and football in particular.
The club would like to thank the following volunteers who helped the club organise this morning – Maureen Fulton, Michael White (National Coordinator, Football Memories Scotland), Lichties Legend Tom Cargill, Mags Muir and the Dementia Scotland team led by George & Christine Beaton.
The group are pictured with their carers and partners with the SPFL Ladbrokes League 2 Championship Trophy in the boardroom at Gayfield.
The club would also like to thank the Arbroath FC Football Memories Sponsor Francis Davidson from Avenue Care Services for making the project possible.
