The Arbroath FC Board of Directors yet again had a very hard decision in voting for their Arbroath FC Player of the Year.

Every single player who has represented the club this season has made us extremely proud. It therefore made the selection for the Directors very, very difficult.

With all votes counted, we are delighted to announce that the Arbroath FC Directors Player of the Year 2021 / 2022 is Captain Thomas O’Brien.

Thomas has led by example yet again this season and has had another truly outstanding season.

No matter the opposition, Thomas just gets on with it, making defending look like an art form and gaining the respect of opposition supporters as well as being adored and loved by every Arbroath supporter.

Alongside team mates Ricky Little, Colin Hamilton, Jason Thomson, Scott Stewart and Chris Hamilton and in front of Derek Gaston in the heart of the defence, Thomas has helped our team record an incredible 17 clean sheets this season, which is unheard of in the Scottish Championship.

Not only defending at the back, Thomas has also chipped in with some important goals in another outstanding season as Captain of Arbroath FC.
