Arbroath 4 – 0 Formartine United
The Lichties ended their pre-season friendlies with a 4-0 win over Formartine United.
Luke Donnelly made it 1-0 after 17 minutes, having hit the post with a header just before his goal, before a powerful Dale Hilson drive made it 2-0 just 3 minutes later.
A driving run down the wing by Bobby Linn was converted by Donnelly in the box for his second of the night on the 30 minute mark.
A series of half time substitutions for Arbroath gave Connor Smith his Arbroath debut and it didn’t take him long to catch the eye, bursting forward, taking on defenders and shots on target.
Connor was to get his goal as he made it 4-0 in the 83rd minute after a fine solo goal.
