Arbroath 2 – 2 Raith Rovers
Goals from Gavin Swankie and Ryan Wallace cancelled out two strikes from Kevin Nisbit this afternoon at a very sunny Gayfield on Easter Sunday.
Arbroath were dealt a blow after Jason Thomson was forced off after 12 minutes with Michael McKenna coming on to replace him.
Nisbit opened the scoring after 27 minutes when he curled in a free kick but Swankie soon equalised just 3 minutes later.
Into the second half and a foul on Mark Whatley wasn’t given yet a foul committed by Omar Kader was. Raith took the free kick and launched in deep into the Arbroath box where Nisbit smashed home his second of the game in the 50th minute.
However substitute Ryan Wallace fired home from close range in the 77th minute to make it 2-2.
Arbroath maintain their 12 point gap at the top of League One with Forfar Athletic now ahead of Raith Rovers with only two games to play.
