Anna Murray
We are all a bit sad today as last night we said out goodbyes to our brilliant physiotherapist Anna Murray.
Anna has been given the opportunity of a lifetime to move to Australia in her career outside of football.
Anna joined Arbroath at the start of the 2018 / 2019 season and was warmly welcomed by all the players and staff at the club providing first class treatment to the team.
It was a great first season as she picked up a Ladbrokes League One medal! This season she has continued to provide the team with first class level treatment but sadly for us her last game was against Greenock Morton on Saturday.
Anna herself is a footballer playing for Partick Thistle Women’s FC who compete in the Scottish Building Society SWPL 2 and having also played for Hutchison Vale Ladies as well as representing Scotland at U19 and U17 level.
Football runs in the family with Anna’s brother playing for East Stirlingshire, and whilst her uncle is Peterhead boss Jim McInally.
Not only is Anna part of Arbroath FC but she is also very good friends with our players and staff and will be deeply missed by all, especially Louise and the carshare crew!
We were very fortunate this season that Craig Reynolds returned to the club over the summer after leaving Dundee United. Craig is well known to everyone at the club, comes with a vast amount of experience at the club and takes the reins from Anna!
We would like to thank Anna for everything she has done for Arbroath FC and we all wish Anna the very best in her new life down under and she will always be welcome back at Gayfield!
Good luck Anna!
