Arbroath were denied their second win in a row in League One as full time Airdrieonians came back through an Andy Ryan 50th minute strike to cancel out Omar Kader’s 33rd minute opening goal.
Omar Kader had given Arbroath a well deserved lead in the 33rd minute when he found space at the back post to fire past the impressive Rohan Ferguson in the home goal. David Hutton made sure the Lichties went into the break with their lead intact as he made a point black save from former Lichtie, Andy Ryan. However it was Ryan who would equalise in the 50th minute for Airdrieonians with a curling strike which landed in the top corner.
The Lichties were on top for most of the match but Airdrieonians goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson was in fine form and denied the Lichties on several occasions including an triple save in the closing minutes.
