Walking football is played at walking pace, with players not allowed to run. This includes with the ball or off the ball and includes jogging. You can ‘walk’ as fast as you want and walking as described in the rules is “one foot must be in contact with the ground at all times.”
“I have been playing walking football for a couple of years after I had to unfortunately give up playing regular football for health reasons. The recreational walking football is a great alternative and has allowed me to continue playing the game I love. It has also helped to improve my physical and mental health and is a major highlight in my week. Despite being a lot younger than the average walking football participant, I have been made to feel very welcome in the sessions.” – Walking Football attendee
