Arbroath 0-5 Dunfermline Athletic, Saturday 13th September 2025
The Pars were in clinical form in the first league meeting of the sides back in September, rattling home five goals without reply in a dominant victory at Gayfield.
Andrew Tod’s second goal on the stroke of half time gave the Fifers some breathing space and they were in excellent form after the break, with Tod completing his hat-trick before Zak Rudden and Rory MacLeod rounded off the scoring.
Neil Lennon’s side remain the only team to have left Gayfield with all three points this season.

If his hat-trick back in September wasn’t enough to worry Arbroath about the Dunfermline forward, then the rest of his goals that see Andy Tod sit joint second in the Championship scoring charts, only behind St Johnstone’s Josh McPake, surely will.
As well as being six goals ahead of the next highest scorer for the Pars, Tod has also played the third most minutes in the squad and is only bettered for assists by Matty Todd, form that earned him a call up for the Scotland Under-21 side.
Making his debut in the same game as our own loanee Taylor Steven, the 19-year old assisted both goals against Gibraltar, including that of Steven, before also starting against Bulgaria three days later.
Last weekend saw Arbroath defeat East Fife to progress to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup and earn a trip to Airdrieonians.
Findlay Marshall and Gavin Reilly were on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win and the Lichties will be looking more of the same as they head back into Fife once more.
It’s three without a win in the league for Arbroath since beating Ross County on the first of November though, something they’ll be keen to rectify.
Their last win at East End Park came back in 2021 when Mikey McKenna and Anton Dowds added to Rhys Breen’s early own goal in a 3-0 victory. Current Lichtie, Nikolay Todorov, was on the bench for the hosts that afternoon.
