MATCH PREVIEW. ARBROATH VS. DUNFERMLINE. Saturday 21st February 2026. William Hill Championship.

Form:

L 2-0 vs Morton – 17th February

W 2-0 vs Kelty Hearts – 7th February

L 2-0 vs Airdrieonians – 31st January

W 1-0 vs St Johnstone – 24th January

W 1-0 vs Hibernian – 17th January

Last Meeting:

Dunfermline Athletic 1-2 Arbroath, Saturday 6th December 2025

An evenly matched contest sprung into life just beyond the hour mark when Barney Stewart’s effort looped over Aidan McAdams so give the Pars the lead.

Arbroath had other ideas though with Brooklyn Kabongolo twice directing headers into the back of the net, including a stoppage time winner to send all three points back to Gayfield.

One to Watch:

Andrew Tod

With 12 goals to his name this season, Tod is Dunfermline’s top scorer, four clear of the nearest player Barney Stewart, who has since returned to Falkirk.

The 19-year-old scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 demolition of the Lichties at Gayfield back in September and earned his first Scotland Under-21 cap earlier this campaign.

Lichties’ Form:

Saturday’s match will be the first for the Lichties in 18 days, since a second disappointing cup exit on penalties against Airdrieonians in the KDM Evolution Trophy.

Last weekend’s late postponement against Ayr United was a frustration for all involved, but Arbroath will hope the extended break can help regain some form and find a first league win since defeating Raith Rovers on the 10th of January.
