East Fife’s form has been a mixed bag towards the end of last year, with two wins and two defeats since their last clash with Arbroath.
Saturday’s game against Hamilton was postponed, meaning they will be fresh for their trip to Gayfield.

Two first half goals saw Arbroath defeat their League One opponents when the sides met just over five weeks ago at Bayview in the Scottish Gas Men’s Scottish Cup.
Gavin Reilly’s early cross was turned home by Findlay Marshall to give the Lichties the lead, before Reilly himself added a second on the stroke of half time to round off a professional performance.
Michael McKenna
Former Lichtie Michael McKenna has been one of the standouts for the Methil side this season.
Currently second top scorer behind Nathan Austin, with the forward having come off injured against Elgin City in the last round, McKenna was also on the scoresheet in the Highlands, making it 3-0 from the penalty spot.
The midfielder also has more assists than anyone else in the Fifers squad and will be keen to make an impact against his former side.
Saturday’s loss at leaders St Johnstone was Arbroath’s first defeat in eight games and won’t take away from what has been an excellent return to the Championship.
The last round saw the Lichties dispose of Kelty Hearts 3-2 in farcical conditions and they’ll be confident of securing another victory over League One opposition, as they aim for a place in the quarter finals.
